Sustainable San Marcos manages two Neighborhood Gardens on land owned by the City of San Marcos, which includes the Dunbar Neighborhood Garden and Alamo Neighborhood Garden. Garden plots can be leased by anyone wanting to work their green thumb and Sustainable San Marcos' many volunteer gardeners can help guide you in your food journey.

Action Committee for safe, accessible, and multimodal transportation in San Marcos
Organized in 2019, MoveSM started as an informal group of community members committed to supporting and advocating for safe, sustainable forms of transportation in San Marcos. In 2020, MoveSM joined forces with Sustainable San Marcos and today acts with the same purpose but under a common umbrella of community-wide sustainability as a transportation-focused Action Committee.

Sustainable San Marcos follows local and regional activity to inform our organization's advocacy efforts. Our Civic Action Committee follows relevant policy issues that warrant attention, and also hosts candidate questionnaires for local elections.
